A priceless cultural and historical treasure came to light in Vác in 1994, when, during the restoration work of the Dominican Church, the builders discovered the crypt beneath the church, which had been walled up more than 150 years ago.

Our museum has been welcoming visitors to its permanent city history exhibition since 2015. It presents the history of Vác, from the expulsion of the Turks to the beginning of the 19th century, one of the most important periods in the city's past.

In 2013, ceramic artist Andrea Vertel from Göd donated the Fairy Garden created in the courtyard of the Pannónia House to Vác.

Attila Berczelly's permanent exhibition. The city of Vác purchased the collection of more than 400 objects from the private collector in 2007. The material, which had previously been on display in Zebegény, was also purchased.
